Stabilizing Kojic Acid

Our customer was keenly interested in developing a natural-based Kojic Acid skin lightening gel with special aesthetic attributes and feel on the skin. The fact that Kojic Acid tends to oxidize and turn brown over a very short period of time presented a formidable hurdle to this project.

Gogi approached and teamed up with a leading ingredient supplier to design a new matrix that helped to stabilize Kojic Acid.

GSC’s innovative and well researched approach extended the shelf-life of the final product from less than three months to over two years. GSC successfully developed and manufactured an aesthetically pleasing product with just the feel that our customer desired.
